SNOOPY & WOODSTOCK BIRTHDAY CARD

This is the card I made for my youngest child's birthday. My little one is growing up. No more back seat for her. Now she's big enough to sit in the front seat and she is loving it!

I got the stamp and the paper from Joanne's online. The paper came in an 8"x8" pack of Glitter Cardstock from DCWV. It's a mess-free way to add a little bling to your card (click on photo to see details). :D The flowers I had hanging around and I'm not sure where I got them.

That's it for now. I'm off to work on "Christmas in September". I'll post the results later.

GET WELL CARD (WITH RIBBON)

Here's Get Well #2. The background paper is also from Leslie G.(6x6 paper swap) ... she really spoiled me with her beautiful choices!

This card has a different approach to color compared with the first one. I'm still trying to decide the best way to use this stamp. Ah ... well ... on to Get Well #3!

GET WELL CARD (SPARKLE)

It occurred to me that I didn't have any get well stamps. I had seen this one on Splitcoast and really liked it so I looked for it online and ordered it from Addicted to Stamps. Now that it's here, I thought it might be nice to make up a few different cards to keep on hand.

This is my first try. The background paper was received in a 6x6 paper swap from Leslie G. Isn't it beautiful? I love the sparkles in it.

LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

I was looking through my stickers for something and I found these. I don't remember where or when I got them. As soon as I saw them I remembered someone on Splitcoast used them for nugget wrappers.

Buy a bag of Hershey's Nuggets any kind ~ I've seen milk chocolate, milk chocolate with almonds, and dark chocolate with almonds at Wal*Mart (some have silver wrappers, others have gold), cut white paper into 1"x3" strips. Wrap nuggets with paper and affix stickers. You can put them in a nugget box, ziplock bag, or even a clear plastic envelope.

This is a project the kids can do, and will like to do ... as long as you monitor the chocolate consumption. :D

MONOCHROMATIC SWAP

When I first saw the title of this swap I froze with fear. This is totally outside my comfort zone but I knew I had to give it a try. It's really hard to only use one color. It took some time but this is what I came up with. It's going out to Gillian in Australia. I sure hope she likes it.

"PUNCHES/DIE CUTS" CARD

I had way too many ideas for this card. The dies finally decided it for me. I used a Fiskars embossing plate to get the music notes in the background on the white paper and a Sizzix die for the die cut note. This is headed out to Brooke in NY and I included some extra die cut notes in case she wanted to use them on the inside or the envelope. :D

"G IS FOR ..." CARD SWAP

"G" is for Green! Remember that card that got damaged? Well this is the replacement card. It's a little different than the first card and it is headed all the way to Australia for Laurel. I sure hope she likes it :D

A FRIEND LOVETH AT ALL TIMES ~ PROVERBS 17:17

This card was meant to go out in a swap but due to circumstances beyond my control, it is no longer fit for sending. I designed a similar card to replace it but I had to use different rub-ons. I did manage to get a picture of it so I thought I'd post it anyway.

P.S. To all my friends who are going through tough times right now, please know ... I love you, I'm praying for you, & I'm here for you 24/7.

WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU PEANUTS :D

Life seldom goes according to plan. When things get "sticky" for Linus, he looks for something sweet to pair it with. That's why Linus is so cool. He never sweats the small stuff.

AAUGH!

Ever have one of those days? Poor Charlie Brown has one of those days every day. That's what makes him so perfect for this card. You just know he's been there. Sometimes it helps to remember, things could be worse.

IS IT NAPTIME YET?

Aren't they sweet? There's nothing like snuggling down for a nice nap. It kind of reminds me of when the kids would fall asleep in your arms. You knew you had to put them down, but you just wanted to hold on to that peaceful moment. This card would be perfect for a New Mom or anyone who can appreciate a good nap.

HAPPY DANCE SNOOPY

This card is my version of "Dawndell"'s card on Splitcoast. She just had the snoopy on the top layer. I added some balloons to mine tied down with catfish string to make it a little more festive. It's hard to see but the back layer is a royal blue cardstock.
