PRESENT TIME ~ SNOOPY CARD

What kid doesn't love present time? Well, it's no surprise, Snoopy feels the same way.

The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. The buttons are from Annika :D The stickers have been around for awhile. I got them either at Michaels or at Wal*Mart (the old memory is not what it used to be ... lol).

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and this card is going to the cancer fundraiser.

PINK & CHOCOLATE CARD

This card is not quite as pink as the other cards ... but it's still definitely a "girl" card. ... lol

This is from a Colorbok set of cardmaking supplies I got at QVC a number of years ago. I just love it. Hopefully the people bidding on these cards when they're sold in groups, will be generous so we can raise that much more for Cancer Research.

IT'S PINK ~ BUT IT'S NO CADILLAC ~ SNOOPY CARD

After seeing how cool that pink typewriter looked, I had to make a sparkly pink VW Bug for Snoopy & Woodstock!

He's cool with driving a pink VW for the cause. What a good sport :D

SEND CHOCOLATE! ~ SNOOPY CARD

Well, the last Pink card with Snoopy at the typewriter was for the American fundraiser. This one is for the Australian one. I tried making Snoopy pink but he really looked funky in the pinks that I had. Instead, I opted to make his typewriter a very sparkly pink. I did this by coloring it pink with the Mark-It pens and then putting clear glitter glue on top. It took awhile to dry, but it was worth it.

I just love this sentiment. It always makes me smile (as does chocolate) ... lol.

DEAR I.R.S. ... SNOOPY CARD

We decided today to make even more cards so we could auction some off within our Yahoo Group to raise money for Cancer Research.

With that in mind ... and with all the financial woes all around us ... I made this card with our American members in mind.

FRIENDS ARE THE BEST COLLECTIBLES ~ LINUS & SNOOPY CARD

I found this paper at my LSS (local scrapbook store). I actually got it to include in a 6x6 paper swap. Well a piece of it went to the swap, and I used another bit of it here. Then I colored the image with the Bic Mark--It pens. They're my new favorite toy!

Linus is right. Friends are more precious than a cabinet full of collectibles. Such wisdom for such a little guy. :D

This card is going with the other pink cards to help raise money for Cancer research. I'm sure it'll find a new friend there.

A GROOVY GET WELL ~ SNOOPY & LINUS CARD

I just love this background paper. It's part of a glittery paper pack from DCWV (Die Cuts With A View). I also love this stamp, so I had to try them together. I colored the images with Bic Mark-It pens.I just love them!

When I made this card, I didn't make it with anyone in particular in mind. But today, I dedicate it to my DH's Grandma who is struggling with her health. Her name is Jessica and she is 90. Please pray for her.

CHIPBOARD SWAP CARD

The second swap for October called for chipboard of any kind. This one is going out to Denise K. I hope she likes it.

I had gotten a whole box full of Colorbok card making supplies some years ago on QVC and I knew I wanted to use them for this swap. I just love the colors and everything coordinates so well. They really make it easy for you. In fact, I divvied up the remaining supplies between my two DDs and me so we could all have fun. DD1 was using some of hers today while making a birthday card for a friend. It's so nice now that they're older and they can craft along side me without needing supervision. Ah ... they grow up so fast (although it didn't seem that way back in the diaper days ... lol..).

CARD FOR WORLD CARD MAKING DAY

Yesterday was World Card Making Day. Our group leader, Faye, challenged us to make a card and send it to someone. I decided to try to make an Iris Fold card. (I'll have a link at the end of this post if you want more info.)

Now technically, you are supposed to fold the paper; hence the name. But the cardstock I was using was so thick and sturdy, I ended up just cutting it into strips and layering it that way. While that did save me the trouble of folding, the thickness of the cardstock made for a very thick back of the card. I actually had to clamp the papers together until the card front was fully adhered to the card base. Next time I think I will use very thin paper and fold. In fact, I'm going to try wrapping paper because it's very thin and easy to fold. Meanwhile this card is going out as a RAK. :D

Oh, in case you're wondering the paper is from DCWV (Die Cuts With a View). Want to know more about Iris Folding? Visit this link : http://www.irisfolding.circleofcrafters.com/ideagallery.html
