I LOVE YOU CARD

Hi all! I've been busy making cards the last few days, but most of them are for swaps so I can't show them to you yet.

I did have fun with this card, though. Once I spotted the flowers, I knew I had to put these colors together. All the materials were gifted to me last month. It's been a LOT of fun playing with them! Thanks again to my friends for all the goodies :D

BEADED CARD

I found this beautiful bodice template at: http://www.stampington.com/html/tempting_template_index.html You really should check this site out! They have templates for purses, baby dresses, flip flops, and all kinds of things. There's a ton of inspiration to be found there.

I used denim paper at the top to simulate the dress form and designed the dress with a little curve at the top. Then I embossed it with a floral cuttlebug folder and used some light purple mulberry paper to accent the curvy top. I used some beads to make a necklace and applied some matching beads to the dress. Even though I enlarged the template to make a standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card, the dress was so narrow it only took up half the space of a regular card. That's when I decided to mount the card on some glitter cardstock from DCWV. Now it really stands out!

Thanks for stopping by!

ALOHA CARD ~ MONOCHROMATIC RED SWAP

I have to admit, when I first saw "Monochromatic Red" ... I panicked. I tried to make a monochromatic red Snoopy and he just looked sick ... lol. Then I tried a Valentine heart, explosion card and I just could not get my papers, ribbons, and embellishments to work. *SIGH* Then I found this paper and it screamed HAWAII to me. :D

I cut the shirt freehand with the fold at the top. Then I went 3/4" down from the top and cut across 1" on each side. I then folded the pieces that I cut to the center at an angle to make the collar. I had the flowers here, and my daughter threw in the bling to finish it off.

A LITTLE FLORAL FANTASY ~ DAHLIA FOLD CARD

I made these flowers back in November. It's a type of teabag folding done with punched out circles; called the Dahlia fold. It is really easy to do. You can find the instructions at this link: http://www.cardsandcrafts.freeservers.com/dahlia.html

Anyway, I made a bunch of these in November, but I could never decide how to use them in a card. Well, I was looking through the papers I just received and when I saw these, I knew I'd found a perfect match. What do you think? Having all these papers is soooo inspiring! Thanks again, Leslie & Faye!
