A LITTLE PURSE CARD

I was given another opportunity to make a card with beads and I had this beaded fringe that I've been dying to do on a card, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity. The paper is from DCWV's Old World stack and it's textured, almost like wallpaper.

I had a basic pattern that I found online, but by the time I was done it was all changed ... lol. The purse has a magnetic closure and I put an explosion card on the inside to mimic the inside of a purse. This went out to a very sweet lady and I hope she enjoys it.

NORWEGIAN PROVERB ~ MAKE A CARD WITHOUT STAMPING

These were my cards for the "Make a card without using stamps" swap; I entered twice. The sentiments are printed on vellum. The papers, flowers and brads were all from different RAKs. It is so much fun to play with these wonderful supplies. Thanks again to my friends for the supplies. :D

Thanks for looking!

LOTS MORE CUPCAKE CARDS

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

Have you noticed a theme running through the last few posts? Yep ... it's cupcakes. You see, I was supposed to have Jury Duty this week so I stamped up a whole lot of cupcakes to bring with me to color while I was waiting. Well the case never went to court and I was released from Jury Duty, but I still had a whole lot of stamped images, so I started working on them.

Well, I think I'm officially cupcaked out! I think I'll be moving on to a completely different topic. Hmmm .... maybe puppies. We'll see.

PINK CARDS FOR THE CAUSE

Well, I finally got some more pink cards done. For awhile there, I wasn't sure I would. Every time I picked up a pink piece of paper to work with, it ended up on a card that was not pink. I finally gave up trying and went to work on a card for a friend. When I finished, I realized it was pink! Then I had a few other ideas for pink cards and I was back on track. These went off in the mail yesterday for the cancer fundraiser.

SOME LONG, BLUE, BIRTHDAY CARDS

Hello again! This long blue cardstock came in a box of goodies, already cut and scored. I've never made a card the length of a business envelope before, so I figured I'd give it a try. By the end of the day I had several long, blue cards; each with slight variations. The funny thing is, I was trying to make pink cards for the fundraiser.

When I finally gave up on making pink cards and focused on making a special card for someone, it happened. It turned out to be pink. Then all the pink ideas came flooding in. I'll try and take a picture tomorrow to share with you. Meanwhile, enjoy these calorie free cupcakes.

A PEANUTS FAN FOLD CARD

First of all, I have to thank Denise K, who received this card from me, for taking this picture for me. This was one of the cards I sent out without scanning ~ a "duh" moment for me ... lol.

This was for the Fan Fold swap. I was really afraid of this challenge ... I don't know why, but I was. Once I figured out what images I wanted to use the rest kind of came together on it's own. It's hard to tell from the picture (and this was a difficult card to take a photo of), but when it's folded with the ribbon on all you can see are the Peanuts figures sticking out at you.

For the sentiment, I did a slight twist on a well known verse. It reads:

Sing as if no one were listening
Dance as if no one were watching
And dust off your cake before you eat it!

I figured if you're having cake with Pigpen, that would be some very necessary advice. :D

A great big THANK YOU goes out to TA (aka Toniann) for the Peanuts stickers. I LOVE THEM! They are clear stickers, so I stuck them on white cardstock and cut them out. :D

MAKE A CARD USING RIBBON

I use ribbon on most of the cards I make, so when I saw this was actually a category of card swap, I signed up twice ... lol.

This is another case of cards I made with goodies received! What a blessing this has been. Thank you to all my sweet friends who have been sharing with me. You're the best :D

SNOOPY ON A CUPCAKE BIRTHDAY CARDS

I finally got around to making my February Birthday cards yesterday. It should've been sooner, but the cold I had is trying to come back so I took it easy for a few days to try to fight it. I've made this card before, but this time I played with the colors a little. I still don't know which one I like the best.
This is the original card with blue accents and a blue flower.
This card has blue accents and a white flower.
This is the card with pink accents.
This version has purple accents.
Last, but not least, when I ran out of the other striped paper, I tried making a chocolate version with this. I'm still not sure if I like it or not.

Anyone hungry for cupcakes yet ? ... lol. Thanks for looking!

FRIEND CARD

This was for a card swap. In some ways this was easy for me since I put ribbon on nearly 90% of the cards I make ... lol. I've always loved the aqua/chocolate combination so when I received these papers in a box of goodies, I just had to put them together. Thanks for looking :D

QUILT CARD FROM SCRAPS

When I think of scraps I think of three things; what you give your dog from the table, scrapbooking, & quilts. This swap seemed perfect for making a quilt block. Janet was kind enough to scan this for me on her end so I could share it with you. Thanks again, Janet!

Here's a card I made with some goodies I was sent. I really like this one. The sentiment is a rub-on from CTMH.
