HOUSE MOUSE BIRTHDAY BOOK

Warning: This post is photo intense. :D

Have you ever heard of a Birthday Book? It's basically a bound set of pocket folders that you store birthday cards in. You can make a checklist for each month so you know in advance how many cards you need to make and for whom. You can also fill them with cards and give them as a gift.

Here's the template:

You can make all the folders you need with six sheets of 8 1/2" x 11" card stock (see dimensions above), plus extra for the front and back covers. Then it's just a matter of making your pages, starting with the cover (which is 5 1/2" wide x 6" long).

Then it's on to the pocket folders. You'll need one for each month.

Once you have all the pieces done, you can bind it with a binding machine, tie it up with ribbons, or use binder rings (that was my choice).

This project definitely takes a lot more time than the usual things I post, but I think it would make a fantastic gift; especially for the holidays. Note: All ribbons in this project came from my stash of favorites from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
